Meet Kelly: From Client to Carlisle Team Member

Kelly had such an incredible experience building her home with Carlisle, she decided to come and work with us! Here’s her story:

Kelly Cecere and her husband Michael embarked on the journey to building their dream home – the Embleton 29 – with Carlisle six years ago. From choosing the perfect design and seeing their dream home come to life, to the moment they picked up their keys, the experience was so wonderful that Kelly set her sights on joining the Carlisle team so she could bring the same joy to families across Melbourne.

Since then, Kelly has spent five years as a highly valued member of the Carlisle team, first in her role as Client Liaison Executive and now as a Team Leader, bringing her uniquely personal experience to the roles.

“We chose to build with Carlisle after walking through many different display homes,” she says. “Everything just felt right. The Carlisle designs felt like home – they were so warm and inviting, and we were welcomed so warmly into the display homes. From the get-go, it was clear we were going to be getting great customer service and value for money.”

Carlisle’s personal approach was another thing that impressed Kelly. “We weren’t just treated like a number – right from our appointments at the Spectra Showroom and contract signing, through to the build and settlement, Carlisle treated us like we were their only customers.”

The couple found our professional customer service particularly useful when they faced some big decisions during their Colour Selections appointment – and saw first-hand just how far our passionate team will go to ensuring they created their perfect home. “This was a real standout moment for us,” says Kelly. “At our Colour Selections appointment, I really struggled with selecting the external colours for our home and putting them all together. Using her expertise, our Colour Consultant was able to piece together lots of moving parts from our externals and put together something that really worked for us.”

It was during Kelly’s Spectra Showroom appointment that she realised that Carlisle could offer more than just her future home – it could also be her future career. “From the moment we walked into the Spectra Showroom to pick out the colours for our beautiful new home, I said to Michael, ‘This is where I want to work’.”

“When our build was near completion, I started monitoring Carlisle’s career openings, and when a suitable position came up, I applied. I was lucky enough to be successful and now work for a great company,” she says. 

Five years on, Kelly is just as proud of her role at Carlisle as she is about her beautiful Carlisle home. “From a past client to now a Carlisle staff member, I can safely say that our processes are what sets us aside from the rest,” she says. “We have internal quality programmes like no other builder and everything is quality-assured.”

But, to Kelly, the Carlisle difference goes beyond that; “At its core, it’s what Carlisle stands for – building quality homes for families,” she says.
