Applying for the First Home Owner Grant
As a first-time home owner you may be eligible for the Victorian Government’s First Home Owner Grant. The grant makes it easier for you to get into the property market and start to benefit from land and property value growth.

How will I know if I’m eligible for the First Home Owner Grant?
The State Revenue Office of Victoria has certain criteria to ensure that you are eligible to receive the First Home Owner Grant. Please read about your Eligibility to receive the grant on the SRO website.
How much is the First Home Owner Grant?
First home owner’s can receive $10,000 if they are buying or building a new home valued up to $750,000.
First-home buyer duty exemption or concession – a one-off duty exemption for a principal place of residence valued up to $600,000, or a concession for a principal place of residence with a dutiable value from $600,001 to $750,000.
