General Manager - Construction
With over 35 years in the building industry, Rod Tabak has dedicated the better part of two decades to Carlisle Homes. Bringing his extensive experience in construction, quality control and innovation to the business, Rod excels in optimising processes, establishing strong industry relationships and delivering reliable outcomes. His leadership sits on a foundation of excellence, with a strong focus on enhancing the home building journey for every Carlisle customer.
Academic Achievements
Rod’s hands-on industry experience is complemented by academic study that provides a strong foundation for his role:
Qualified Carpenter - Chisholm TAFE, 1994
Rod’s journey in construction began with a carpentry qualification at Chisholm TAFE, providing him with the technical skills he needed to understand every detail of a build from the ground up.
Diploma in Management – Australian Institute of Management (AIM)
Undertaken in 2021, this diploma focused on strategic planning, team leadership and operational efficiency, equipping Rod with the skills to drive innovation and productivity throughout Carlisle’s construction team.
Rod remains committed to building on his knowledge through continuous learning, attending the NAHB American Building Expo (Orlando 2011, Las Vegas 2015 & 2023), and the Munich Building Expo in Germany in 2019. He also recently ventured to America in 2023 to study truss plants for process insights.
