Exterior colours

Make a grand statement with a façade layered with earthy, organic tones, such as chocolate brickwork, smooth, charcoal and greige render, and an elegant, tiled front pier in a warm mid-grey. Emphasise your exterior’s natural connection by specifying a timber front door and window frames.

Interior flooring

Infuse sophistication from the ground up with luxurious flooring, such as slate grey or dark marble-effect floor tiles, rich parquetry flooring, and an array of plush rugs. For quieter rooms, such as your formal lounge and bedrooms, inject cosiness with textural loop-pile or ribbed carpet in pale grey or stone.

Feature lighting

Lighting plays a key role in the Luxe Noir look, both functionally and decoratively. Add drama and dimension to your interior scheme with interesting lamps, chandeliers, and wall sconces in a mix of matt black, frosted and ribbed glass. Connect them to dimmer switches so you can change the mood of a room in an instant.

Kitchen styling

Create a luxurious and welcoming heart of the home with elegant shaker-style cabinetry in glossy black, finished off with natural-look stone benchtop running up the splashback, and a statement black or chrome tap. Alternatively, evoke a sophisticated, natural feel with sleek, dual-tone cabinetry in walnut and parchment grey, paired with elegant brushed nickel tapware.

Opt for generous kitchen island in a dark marble with intricate veining where you can gather, chat and serve up when you’re entertaining. Hang a striking, minimalist pendant overhead, and style your island with two or three upholstered bar stools where guests can sit comfortably for long stretches.

Bathroom bliss

Give your bathrooms instant five-star appeal with spa-like fixtures and finishes, such as a freestanding bath, and a sleek walnut, grey or black vanity with a concrete-effect countertop and pared-back tapware in chrome or black. Mix different tiles in tonal shades of grey, such as a marble herringbone-tiled splashback combined with large stone-effect tiles on the walls and floor. For a luxurious finishing touch, hang floor-to-ceiling linen sheers at the window.

Furniture & Styling

Create an easy base to build upon with simple sofas in pale grey or cream, then add in layers of luxury with sumptuous area rugs, textural throws, and velvet and silk scatter cushions in rich jewel tones of burgundy, plum, inky blue and forest green. For all-out opulence, line the walls (or a single, feature wall) with a beautiful fabric or a patterned wallpaper with textured detailing.

Introduce accent and dining chairs with deep, comfortable seats that encourage long-term relaxation, striking round coffee and side tables in burgundy or green marble, sculptural lighting and super-sized abstract artworks in slender black frames.
