Meet the All-Female Superstar Team Changing Our Industry

In celebration of International Women’s Day, we turn the spotlight on three female team members leading the charge in the construction industry. 

It’s no secret that women have traditionally been vastly under-represented in the construction industry. At Carlisle, we’re proud to be part of the change. To mark International Women’s Day, we’re delighted to introduce you to three inspiring women who make up one of the most dynamic and leading teams across our business – our all-female sales team at Meridian Estate, who succeed together to get the best results for their customers, winning awards (collectively taking home six awards at our 2022 Sales Gala event!) and changing industry perceptions along the way. Together, our team at Meridian boast an impressive combined 48 years’ of experience in the construction industry, providing an incredible wealth of knowledge for their clients to tap into.

Jane has been part of the Carlisle team for the past four years. During this time, she has been awarded Carlisle Homes Sales Consultant of the Year an incredible three times in a row – something no other Carlisle employee has ever achieved. 

Jane loves being part of the construction industry. “No two days are the same – the work is fast-paced, challenging, dynamic and stimulating,” she says. 

“It’s incredibly rewarding to work with clients from different backgrounds to help them create their dream home. I really enjoy providing that personalised service and building strong connections with them. I’ll often have clients contact me after we have delivered their new home to thank me for my time and efforts – sometimes they’ll even surprise me with a gift!” she says. 

Working alongside a high-performing, close-knit team and being supported by women throughout the Carlisle business is key to creating a productive, enjoyable and high-performing environment at Meridian. “It’s a true team of women supporting women at Meridian. We’re working together towards a common goal – we celebrate each other’s achievements and share ‘the crown’ with each other,” says Jane. 

“But it’s not just women supporting women at Meridian; we’re fully supported throughout the business. I feel very fortunate to work with such a great brand and team at Carlisle,” she says.

Vivienne has worked in construction in different roles for 13 years, giving her a 360-degree view of the industry from the perspectives of both builder and customer – knowledge that has been invaluable for the sales role she has held at Meridian Estate for the last 2.5 years. 

“My role is very client-focused – I meet with clients and help them on their building journey, along with preparing quotes, custom changes and administration,” she says. 

“It’s so rewarding to be part of a customer’s building journey and make a real difference to their lives,” she says. “I’m very proud to be part of such a great team and company.” 

The collaborative approach of the Meridian team and the close friendships Vivienne has built make the day-to-day a joy. “We’re a small group of women who are all very supportive of each other,” she says. “We share our knowledge and experience to get the best results for every client.”

And we’re proud to be fostering the next generation of women in construction. Inspired by Vivienne’s positive experience in the industry, her daughter Brittany is part of Team Carlisle too, working as Permits Coordinator for the EasyLiving team – a great example of how the success of our female leaders is driving the change for generations to come.
