Now available for all our EasyLiving designs, find out how a Hebel home ticks every box.
Your choice of façade can do a whole lot more than just enhance your home’s street appeal. Game-changing new building products can also help reduce your heating and cooling costs, create quieter and more peaceful living spaces and boost your eco cred. Better yet, they’re affordably priced and quick to install.
Australian-made Hebel is leading the charge. This revolutionary building material allows you to create a strong and beautiful fully rendered exterior to your entire home, whilst being environmentally friendly, energy-efficient, budget-friendly and going up fast. We rate it so highly that we’ve now made it available on all our EasyLiving homes!
Read on to learn how Hebel can bring your dream home to life.
What is Hebel?
Hebel is a high-performance Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (ACC) building system that comes in the form of 75mm thick panels. It is lightweight, quick to install and made from low-impact, sustainable materials – sand, cement, lime and gypsum.
Hebel products are made in Australia by CSR, a trusted name in building products for over 30 years.
Hebel is finished with a special acrylic coating system that gives your whole home a smooth, modern, fully rendered look. A fully rendered finish can be very expensive to achieve if you're building a brick home; but when you build with Hebel, your home will come fully rendered at no extra cost. Hebel is very durable (a major plus when you’re building your forever home), and it can be rendered in a range of stunning colours, allowing you to create a distinctive look.
Where do we use Hebel?
We love Hebel building products for their looks, durability, energy efficiency and design and installation flexibility – so much so that all our EasyLiving homes can be built with Hebel.
When you select a Hebel facade design, the side and rear walls of your home will also be constructed from Hebel. You can see the eight incredible single storey and eight breathtaking double storey Hebel facades we offer for EasyLiving homes here.
Whichever facade you select, you'll have a choice of 6 professionally curated colour schemes to personalise your home's exterior. Make a bold statement with an exterior featuring deep-coloured Hebel detailing and a charcoal roof with our beautiful Pine scheme; go for a lighter look with an exterior featuring touches of soft grey Hebel and a pale-toned roof with our Orchid scheme; or create a sleek and seamless aesthetic with a grey-toned Hebel exterior and a near-black roof with our Clove colour scheme – and more!
Add extra protection
If you like the idea of saving time and money maintaining your home, you can upgrade your rendered Hebel exterior with a high-performance, protective coating. Dulux AcraTex AcraShield membrane safeguards your external walls from common issues like colour fading or staining possibly from gardens. A façade with AcraTex AcraShield coating is also easier to clean than one with a regular rendered finish, so your home looks new for longer, without the upkeep issues.
Here are more reasons to love Hebel:
Thermal efficiency
Relief from energy bill headaches! Hebel building products boast excellent insulation properties, which help your home stay comfortable all year round, without the need to flick the heating or cooling switch as regularly.
A quieter home
Using Hebel on your exterior walls reduces the transmission of outside noise, such as traffic and noisy neighbours, so you can enjoy peace and quiet.
Stands the test of time
Hebel has been manufactured to last. Hebel panels are high-performance products containing steel reinforcement for added strength with an anti-corrosion layer on the steel for maximum durability.
With Hebel's strength and adaptability, you can effortlessly attach fixtures like clotheslines, hose reels, and outdoor lights to your home, enhancing its functionality and aesthetic appeal without the hassle. Explore the easy step-by-step process here.
Environmentally friendly
Hebel uses less embodied energy, produces fewer greenhouse gases, and has a lower environmental impact than many other building products, allowing you to build your perfect home while being kind to the earth.
