Five bedside table styling ideas
by Carlisle Homes
It’s no secret the bedroom is one of the most important rooms of the house to decorate. Although it is the least publically viewed in any home (apart from the occupant) it is one that requires personal attention to detail. The bedroom is a space where we relax and unwind from the pressures of our day, and although you ought to be able to turn off all your thoughts, it should still inspire. We have five innovative bedside table ideas that will have you drifting off into stylised heaven.
Sweet Dreams
Fresh flowers are such a sophisticated way to embellish a simple, but on trend, mirrored bedside table. Combined with aromatic candles, it will fill the room with a fragrant ambience that adds an additional calming element to your place of rest.
Floating Dreams
Innovative shelves that don’t compromise style or space are a hot new trend. DIY and utilise a great assortment of storage cubes (found at Target and Ikea) that can be mounted to walls and really compliment the current Scandinavian style trend, maximising even the smallest area very efficiently.
Kaleidoscopic dreamscapes
Inexpensive storage solutions from Ikea, come to the rescue with their simple but universally appreciated designs. Be adventouous and turn a trolley into a bedside nightstand, a feature wall into a fashionale puzzle or invidual splashes of colour pop via bins and draws to help turn a cluttered, busy space into a soothing retreat.
Dressing up your Nightstand
Night stands are tricky especially in a small space, but if you have a large area to work with, then dressers are a great statement piece that add real wow factor and volume to your innermost sanctuary. If it’s shabby chic, old world glamour, or uptown funk you are looking for, then dresser draws cater to those needs. DIY an old chest of draws or invest in a heavy wooden piece to create a luxurious peaceful domain to refuel the soul.
Bedside Table Spotlight
Simplicity is key sometimes when designing a bedroom. Bedside tables almost take a back seat here and the minimalistic approach works well as the lamps and art work become the highlighting features.
