Outdoor table style
Apart from days at the beach, watching cricket, fun under the sprinkler and school holidays, summer is all about entertaining friends and family - alfresco style. While a sausage on the barbecue is easy and paper plates are favourable after a busy Christmas, why not change things up a bit with some fresh summer table styling and really wow your guests. We have found 5 outdoor table styling themes to get your ideas flowing.
Creating a beachy feel to your outdoor dining is really easy, add some candles in glass jars, some ocean ornaments like shells and starfish, and choose whites and sandy neutrals with a splash of blue for the summer sky and cooling ocean. Tea towels can make great napkins for a rustic feel, try the Milan Tea Towels from Country Road for your something blue.
Bold and bright
Keep things upbeat and fun by combining a kaleidescope of summer colours, think of a summer fruit bowl and there is your colour inspo! You can’t beat Ikea and Target for some great bright tableware to make any dining event into an exotic fiesta. Images found at housebeautiful.com and Ikea
Vintage shabby chic
The great thing about this style of table setting is that pretty much anything goes, the theme is ecletic which means nothing needs to match! Don’t bother going out to buy matching sets, take a look around your home for decorations, upcycle with different shape bottles and jars and keep an eye on your local thrift shop.

Sometimes simple is best, less is more, uncluttered and effortless but fresh and timeless. The alfresco setting in the Radison on display at the Aston Estate, Craigieburn perfectly sums up the tropical summer styling.
