Carlisle Homes is pleased to announce four winners in the third cycle of their Community Grants program which ran from October 1, 2014 – December 31, 2014. The winning projects cover a range of educational, sporting and community initiatives and the judges were overwhelmed with the standard and quantity of applications. The grants give locals a unique opportunity to contribute to the building of strong communities and enrich the lives of those living there.
Below is a summary of the winning projects for Cycle 3 Community Grants:
Somerville Primary School has won a $21,000 grant to be put towards their new community room. The community room will be based at the primary school and will be used by all the community including mothers and play groups, men’s shed, kindergartens, students and more.
Ocean Grove Toy Library will receive a $15,000 grant to upgrade their toy library and facilities. Ocean Grove Toy Library are a not for profit toy library located in an integrated children's hub. To meet the growing family needs of Ocean Grove and surrounds they strive to provide an inexpensive annual membership to enjoy new and often expensive toys for children aged 6 months to 5 years.
Donvale Primary School has won a $10,000 grant to repair and replace their playground shade sails. These sails will provide the students, school and wider community with functional summer sun protection.
Leawarra Calisthenics Club has been granted $5,000 for their studio upgrade. The upgrade will be improve the studios facilities for existing and new members and is important for assisting with growth for the club.
Carlisle Homes is excited to work with all the winners to bring their community initiative to life and will be updating its website and Facebook page with progress via photos and video footage.
Applications are open for Cycle 4 grants with nominations due by March 31, 2015. Entry is open to community groups and not-for-profit organisations of any size. Charities, educational, health, arts or sporting organisations with a specific and tangible project in mind are all encouraged to apply for a Carlisle Homes Community grant.
